Valentines Day? So overrated..

I know, I know! Some people are thinking, "This  girl is crazy!" Others are like, "Ohhhhh, another one of thesee!" But we're all entitled to our own opinions, right?!

I'm not saying this because I'm single and lonely. Honest! You can point a truth-gun to my head. (That's a Cougar Town reference, if ya'll watch that show. Please don't put a real gun to my head!) That man on top of my page next to that crazy monkey girl is my lovely boyfriend. :) (If you see this, HAYYYY BOOTHANGGG)

It's just that the fact that girls have these high expectations on the 14th day of the 2nd month of the year absolutely irks me. I have to admit, I've been guilty of this in the past, expecting my past boyfriend to surprise me with something AMAZING. I was disappointed... obviously. However, as the years have gone by, I've came to a conclusion that I enjoy this day a lot more when I take the power away from it.

What do I mean by this? I mean, screw it! THUG LIFE! & treat February 14 like an ordinary day! Who cares if my boyfriend doesn't shower me with gifts today. At least he's there to spoil me every other day of the year.

That's the point I never really understood. People spend hundreds of dollars on this day to celebrate love. Mmm.. I rather shop with that money. (just kidding, kinda, not really..) Anyways, in my opinion, I rather choose another day on the calendar to spoil my boyfriend, or vice versa.

Perks of this?
1) You avoid the crowd!
2) It gives you a unique day on the calendar for you to share with your loverrrr, instead of sharing with the world and their mamas.

For those of you who are single, celebrating Single Awareness Day, more power to you! I mean go have fun with a group of friends and have a drink (if legal, otherwise, go sip on some juice)! Please don't mope around the house. Like Drake, Lil Wayne, and Tyga sayyy: YOLO (you only live once).

Note: This is just my personal opinion. Maybe I had some screwy relationship that ruined the day for me. Who knows?! If you do celebrate Valentines Day, I ain't judging, have an awesome day! I know some girls just use this day as an excuse to dress up super cute! I've seen so many cute outfits!  But yeah, just do whatever floats your boat, you know?!

Final note: I hope everyone has a wonderful day, doing whatevaaa you likeeeeee!

Peace out, amigoss!

RECALL...

the post from like 10 minutes ago about shopping and what not?

Anyway, while shopping, I was trying to find that perfect pair of pants, or those everyday shoes that are absolute staples in a girl's closet. Then, it got me thinking!

Shopping for that perfect ______ is like finding the perfect group of girlfriends.

I'm sure by the time you're outta high school, you've gone through that phase where it's like, "omg, girls are so catty!" If not, you're one lucky ducky. But for those of us unlucky ones, we find ourselves searching for that gal pal!

Who can blame us, as many guy friends we have, not because we're whores or hoes, but because we're just "one of the bros", the relationship just isn't the same as girl friends. I mean, we can't talk to guys about all of our girl problems, nahh mean?!

That's why I feel like finding that perfect group of girls that get you is like finding hidden gems. It make take awhile, and you might find them in the most unexpected places, but when you find them, it's like "yeee son, they're keepers"!

As lesbe-honest as this sounds, I wanted to dedicate this blog to my lovely girlsss!

Yup! That's us! We haven't known each other since we were in diapers but that's the beauty of it. Despite the short amount of time we've known each other, I know they got my back!

Who cares if we don't have a big posse! It's all about quality, not quantity! But on the real, I would trade 100 Facebook friends for 1 AWESOME friend any day.

HOPE YOU GIRLS SEE THIS! LOVE YOUSSS! <333

The 3 of us are soooo different, but here are a few things we have in common:
we LOVE make-up, food, and shopping. <3

I hope every girl will be as lucky as me to find a wonderful group of friends!

Gooood night, world!

STATEMENT RINGS.

These things never get old! Really... funky rings will always be here to stay.

Recently, I've been shopping for my first set of business clothes! I'm trying to play it safe so I decided to stick with black. You know, black jacket, black pants, black shoes...

Such the boresss, right? So to spice up the boring outfit, I decided it would be fun to throw on a statement ring!

I recently purchased these 2 from Express! & they're BOGO 50% off! Such a good deal!

If I were to splurge on a major cute statement ring, it would have to be....... *drum roll pleaseeee!

That's right!! The YSL ARTY!! $250 for a piece of jewelry is just out of my budget range as a college student. But one day... :)

TIP: For those of you who prefer more unique pieces, go visit your local boutiques or thrift stores! Be patient and the perfect piece will come your way... *cross fingers!

Goood byeee, beautifulllssss!
